Jeg har et PHP-skript som kan kode et PNG-bilde til en Base64-streng.
Jeg vil gjerne gjøre det samme med JavaScript. Jeg vet hvordan jeg åpner filer, men jeg er ikke sikker på hvordan jeg skal gjøre kodingen. Jeg er ikke vant til å jobbe med binære data.
Du kan bruke btoa()
og atob()
for å konvertere til og fra base64-koding.
Det ser ut til å være en viss forvirring i kommentarene om hva disse funksjonene aksepterer/returnerer, så...
btoa()
aksepterer en "streng" der hvert tegn representerer en 8-bits byte - hvis du sender en streng som inneholder tegn som ikke kan representeres i 8 bits, vil den sannsynligvis gå i stykker. Dette er ikke et problem hvis du faktisk behandler strengen som en byte-array, men hvis du prøver å gjøre noe annet, må du kode den først.
atob()
returnerer en "streng" der hvert tegn representerer en 8-bits byte - det vil si at verdien vil være mellom 0
og 0xff
. Dette betyr ikke at det er ASCII - antageligvis hvis du bruker denne funksjonen i det hele tatt, forventer du å jobbe med binære data og ikke tekst.

Sunnys kode er flott, bortsett fra at den bryter i IE7 på grunn av referanser til "this". Fikset ved å erstatte slike referanser med "Base64":
